A STEP BY STEP EXTERIOR WASH FROM OCDETAILER.COM
Washing exterior surfaces is the backbone of a good detail. Cleaning the exterior allows you to clearly see the paint condition and any hidden damage. A clean surface is required prior to claying, buffing, polishing, and waxing.
Before you begin washing your vehicle, it's important to know the difference between Auto Magic's two premium car wash products.
The first product, E-Z Suds Liquid Concentrate, is a pH balanced high suds shampoo designed for deep cleaning exterior vehicle surfaces that may not be cleaned regularly.
Wash & Wax Concentrate works best on paint finishes that are cleaned regularly. It is formulated with optical brighteners that enhance the vehicles surface while you wash the surface of the car.

| STEP 1 COOL ALL SURFACES:
The surface of the vehicle must be cool to the touch prior to washing. For best results, work in the shade. Rinse the entire vehicle well with water. Be sure to spray loose dirt out of crevices and body side moldings.
| STEP 2 DEGREASE WHEELS, TIRES, & FENDER WELLS:
Spray #713 Special Cleaner? or E-Z White Tire Cleaner (properly diluted) onto the above areas.

| STEP 3 AGITATE WHEELS, TIRES, & FENDER WELLS:
Use a long handled fender brush to agitate the above areas.
| STEP 4 RINSE WHEELS, TIRES, & FENDER WELLS:
Use a garden hose with sprayer or pressure washer to rinse all the above areas well.

| STEP 5 WASH EXTERIOR:
Add 2 ounces of car wash solution to a 5 gallon bucket, then fill with pressurized water. Use a microfiber towel or mitt and work from the top down. Wash the roof and the windows followed by the hood and trunk. Rinse between sections. Next wash the sides of the car from the moldings up. Rinse again. Finally wash the lower sections of the vehicle from the moldings down.
| STEP 6 DRY:
To avoid water spots, dry the vehicle with a synthetic drying cloth. Work from the top down. Start with the roof and windows and save the lower sections for last.
